Description
The Joint Research Office of Contracts (JROC) at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, is searching for a Contract Specialist to be part of the team in support of our research community. As part of JROC, you will play an important role in our mission to provide high quality customer service to principal investigators, administrators, and sponsors by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating research-related agreements on a university-wide basis. This office fulfills a vital role in maintaining Washington University’s status as a global leader in groundbreaking research.
JROC is part of the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR) and is responsible for completing more than 4,000 contracts annually. It facilitates the timely execution of federal and foundation subawards and contracts, industry-supported research agreements, industry supported clinical trials, data transfers, service agreements, and other research-related agreements. JROC ensures terms are consistent with university policies, applicable law and agency guidelines, and provides guidance and advises faculty regarding potential obligations under these agreements. JROC also provides communication, education, and training on contracts and subagreements to the Washington University research community.
