Description

Rough Patch Affordable Counselling is seeking qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, social workers and psychologists to join our innovative Community of Practice model. This is an opportunity to build a meaningful private practice while contributing to accessible, social justice-oriented mental healthcare across Australia. 

As a Rough Patch counsellor, you will provide online or in-person (in your own consulting room) counselling to clients on a sliding scale fee structure ($70-$160 per session). You'll manage your own caseload, seeing anywhere between 2-20 clients per week, with full autonomy over your schedule and client management.

This is not a traditional referral agency role - counsellors are self-employed practitioners who benefit from shared infrastructure, community, and values-driven collaboration. 

We're a grassroots, volunteer-led organisation driven by the belief that quality mental healthcare should be a right, not a privilege.
