Description
Cottage Medical Group is actively seeking a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician to join Cottage Children's Medical Center in Santa Barbara. The Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician provides assessment, evaluation, planning, and treatment aligned with evidence-based guidelines and performs at their specialty's highest professional standards of clinical practice. The physician collaborates with external referring physicians to provide continuous care and assist patients with appropriate treatment and follow-up as clinically indicated.
Opportunity:
- Provide full scope pediatric care, evaluate and manage developing pediatric patients seeking behavioral treatment
- Clinical duties will include outpatient clinic with ability to subspecialize
- Practice located on Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital campus

Qualifications
All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION
Minimum:
- Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree (DO).
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in the physician's associated specialty.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Minimum:
- Physician's unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California.
- Must meet all requirements for membership and unrestricted clinical privileges of the CH Medical Staff.
- Valid Drug Enforcement Agency license - DEA Schedule 2-5.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 45 days.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum:
- Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
- Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects, and contraindications.
- In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices.
