Incompass seeks a caring provider family in the Wakefield / Stoneham area to welcome a social, creative individual who loves stage shows, dining out, arts & crafts, and spending time with family. Training, coaching, and ongoing agency support provided. Flexible schedule and meaningful work stipend paid.
About the person you would be supporting:
“I am a highly social and inquisitive individual, with a passion for live music, stage shows and dining out at lunch and dinner. My creative side is evident through enthusiasm for arts and crafts. I enjoy connecting with friends on Facebook, and love to spend time with my nieces and nephews by the pool. I do well with consistency and support in the morning to get ready for the day. If there is a connection between us, the Incompass Shared Living team can assist with welcoming me to your household.”
This role is a match with a warm, outgoing woman who thrives on social connection, community outings (theatre, concerts, dining), creative activities, and family time. Morning routine support and consistent structure are helpful. The ideal provider is patient, dependable, enjoys social and cultural outings, and values building long-term, family-style relationships.
Key responsibilities:
Provide a safe, welcoming family home and person-centered morning support to help with daily routines.
Support community inclusion: accompany to concerts, stage shows, lunches/dinners, pool/family visits, and social time with friends on Facebook.
Encourage and participate in arts & crafts and other creative activities.
Assist with light personal care and household tasks as described in the individual’s service plan (after required training).
Coordinate with Incompass Shared Living team, case manager, and guardian to follow the individual plan and attend regular meetings/home visits.
Maintain required documentation, follow medication/health protocols if authorized, and notify agency of any incidents or needs.
Provide occasional respite coverage or coordinate respite as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications & preferences
A genuine desire to welcome an adult into your family home and support their community life.
Reliable transportation for local community outings (Wakefield/Stoneham area).
Comfortable with active social outings (theatre, restaurants, concerts).
Experience with people with developmental/intellectual disabilities preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with guardians and the Incompass team.
Willingness to complete background checks, home assessment, and required trainings prior to placement.
Mandated pre-placement items: CORI/SORI (criminal background) checks, home-safety assessment, required Incompass onboarding and direct-support training.
