Description
Lead and coordinate the efficient and accurate abstraction work of the team.
- Lead the collection, validation and clinical quality review of patient-level data for national clinical quality initiatives.
- Provide guidance, consultation and best practice education to team members on the design and maintenance of registry and clinical databases in accordance to regulatory requirements.
- Abstract relevant data associated with assigned projects. Audit to ensure the integrity and accuracy of information collected and entered into the data collection system for their assigned projects.
- Proactively identify potential problems affecting the data collection process on assigned projects and coordinate follow-up of problem resolution.
- Prepare, present and interpret clinical quality data reports with clinical and leadership teams on quality improvement projects.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific
experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- Oncology Data Specialist certification
- 5+ years of oncology abstraction/registry experience highly preferred
