The Director of Mission Advancement helps expand Project RED's community by introducing new individuals, churches, foundations, businesses, and community partners to the organization's mission.
Working closely with the Executive Director, this person will cultivate strategic relationships, identify new opportunities for partnership, and help shape Project RED's long-term growth. At Project RED, we believe meaningful partnerships are built through trust, consistency, and authentic relationships.

Developing a deep understanding of Project RED's mission, values, trauma-informed philosophy, and unique model of care, becoming a knowledgeable and authentic representative of the organization.
Building meaningful relationships with new individuals, churches, foundations, businesses, and community partners.
Establishing a growing pipeline of prospective supporters and strategic partners.
Expanding Project RED's presence within new communities and professional networks.
Helping strengthen the organization's long-term mission advancement strategy.
Contributing to fundraising initiatives through thoughtful relationship development and strategic partnership building.
Representing Project RED with professionalism, humility, and integrity.
Becoming a trusted partner to the Executive Director and leadership team.
Primary Responsibilities
Relationship Development
Develop and cultivate relationships with new individuals, churches, businesses, foundations, and community partners.
Identify opportunities to introduce new audiences to Project RED.
Build long-term partnerships that inspire meaningful engagement and investment.
Represent Project RED at meetings, conferences, churches, networking events, and community gatherings.
Maintain an active pipeline of prospective partners and consistently expand Project RED's network.
Strategic Growth
Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify opportunities that strengthen Project RED's long-term sustainability.
Help develop strategies that expand Project RED's reach and community of support.
Research and pursue foundation, corporate, church, and community partnership opportunities.
Secure and develop funding opportunities for the organization.
Track relationship activity, progress, and outcomes through organizational systems.Collaboration
Learn Project RED's history, philosophy, and trauma-informed approach in order to represent the organization accurately and authentically.
Utilize Project RED's stories, communications, and resources in ways that protect the dignity of the children and families we serve.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and communications team on campaigns, events, and partnership opportunities.
Contribute ideas that strengthen Project RED's long-term mission advancement.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success building strategic partnerships, expanding networks, or developing new opportunities within a nonprofit, business, ministry, or community setting.
Experience working with major donors, foundations, churches, businesses, or strategic partnerships.
Experience in nonprofit fundraising, philanthropy, partnership development, or related work.
Experience within a faith-based nonprofit or ministry environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team.
Willingness to travel throughout the United States and periodically to El Salvador.

Project RED is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving children and families in El Salvador. Founded in 2011, Project RED has grown from a small grassroots effort into an established organization with a team of Salvadoran professionals providing long-term, trauma-informed support to families facing complex challenges related to violence, poverty, family separation, and instability.
