DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Auditor 1 within the Bureau of County Audits - District Court and Row Offices, you will be ensuring fines, fees, taxes, and other payments are properly assessed and sent to the correct state agencies. Work involves learning audit standards, reviewing financial records, and supporting accurate reporting. In this role, you will perform the following duties:
Audit Research: Review laws, regulations, and standards to understand requirements for audits
Record Analysis: Locate and analyze financial documents and other materials for accuracy
Data Management: Create and update audit work papers, findings, and reports
Information Retrieval: Access and review data needed to verify financial activity
Standards Application: Apply auditing guidelines to ensure correct assessment and reporting
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
Routine travel to auditee sites across Pennsylvania is required.
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $51,971.00 (before taxes).

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Associate degree from an accredited college/university with an area of concentration in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in accounting, business, data analytics, finance, economics, math, or a closely related field; or
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training in accounting, auditing, or a closely related field.
Additional Requirements:
You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
One or more of the following certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE)
Certified Government Auditing Professional (CGAP)
Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM)
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
