About Bridges Reentry
Every woman deserves a real chance to come home. Bridges Reentry exists to make that chance real. Walking alongside women returning from incarceration as they rebuild their lives with stability, dignity, and hope. We are a small organization with a large heart, a deep community presence, and an ambitious vision for what's possible. And we're growing.
The Opportunity
We are searching for our first Executive Director — a seasoned, mission-driven leader ready to step into a role that is both deeply meaningful and genuinely complex. You'll lead strategy, people, operations, and impact, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. You'll also work alongside our Founder, who is transitioning into a senior advisory role, making space for you to lead with full operational authority.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of an organization that is already changing lives and to do it from a position of real leadership, not a committee of one.
What You'll Do
Lead organizational vision, strategy, and long-term growth
Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors; implement board-approved plans
Hire, develop, and lead senior staff; build a culture of accountability and belonging
Oversee programs, operations, compliance, and organizational infrastructure
Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and long-term sustainability planning
Drive fundraising strategy, donor cultivation, and grant development
Represent Bridges Reentry publicly and build strong community and government partnerships
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus but not required
3-5+ years nonprofit leadership experience (human services or reentry preferred)
Proven ability to raise at least $250K+ annually
Experience managing budgets of $400K+
Experience with trauma-informed and culturally responsive leadership
Ability to build partnerships with employers, community organizations, and government agencies
Comfortable engaging with media and public events
Emotionally intelligent leader who builds trust across diverse stakeholders
Deeply mission-driven and aligned with Bridges Reentry’s values
If you are a strategic, emotionally intelligent leader who knows how to build things, sustain them, and bring people along. You are financially fluent, a skilled communicator, and at home in complex organizational environments. You lead with humility and conviction. You're collaborative without being indecisive. And you are genuinely moved by the mission, not just as a professional opportunity, but as a calling. Then this might be the job for you.
