Position Overview
We are seeking a Genetic Counselor to provide comprehensive genetic counseling services through a 100% remote telemedicine model. The role includes risk assessment, patient education, genetic testing coordination, and communication of genetic test results.
Responsibilities
Conduct genetic counseling consultations via telemedicine.
Review medical and family histories and assess genetic risk.
Educate patients about inheritance, recurrence risks, genetic conditions, and screening options.
Recommend and coordinate appropriate genetic testing.
Communicate genetic test results to patients and providers.
Provide counseling, follow-up recommendations, and appropriate resources.
Document clinical activities in the EHR.
Requirements
Requirements
Master's degree in Genetic Counseling.
Board Certified or Board Eligible through ABGC, as applicable.
Current, full, and unrestricted state licensure where required.
Current BLS certification or equivalent.
Strong communication and counseling skills.
Comfortable providing services through telemedicine.
Schedule: Monday–Friday during regular business hours; no off-hours coverage is required.
