The Senior Title Examiner / Analyst is responsible for conducting complex title searches, analyzing full chains of title, and identifying legal risks, encumbrances, and defects. This role requires a high level of expertise in reviewing deeds, mortgages, liens, easements, and probate records, as well as preparing accurate and compliant title reports.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct complex and detailed title examinations, including full chain-of-title analysis
Review and interpret deeds, mortgages, liens, easements, probate, and court records
Identify and resolve title defects, discrepancies, and potential risks
Prepare accurate, compliant, and client-ready title reports
Apply jurisdiction-specific title standards (e.g., Massachusetts title practices)
Communicate findings clearly to attorneys, clients, and internal teams
Manage multiple orders while meeting turnaround expectations
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience in title examination or title analysis
Strong expertise in chain-of-title review and document interpretation
Experience with Massachusetts title standards preferred
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Experience working with title software, registries, and online systems
