The American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) is entering the most exciting chapter in its history.
This fall, we're launching an entirely new digital ecosystem—including a redesigned website, modern learning platform, online community, enhanced certifications, and innovative member experiences that will shape the future of swim coaching.
We're looking for three motivated interns who want real-world experience working on a national organization undergoing a complete transformation. These aren't observation roles—you'll help build, launch, and improve projects that will be used by thousands of coaches around the world.

Communications & Marketing Intern
Help tell the story of ASCA's biggest transformation yet.
You'll work alongside our marketing and communications team to create engaging content that keeps members informed, excited, and connected throughout the rollout of our new platforms.
Responsibilities
- Draft marketing emails and member communications
- Assist with website content updates
- Support event marketing for clinics and educational programs
- Assist with branding initiatives and promotional materials
- Email lead collections
- Other tasks as assigned
Ideal Candidate
- Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Graphic Design major
- Excellent written communication skills
- Creative mindset with attention to detail
- Interest in nonprofit marketing is a plus
Business Operations Intern
Help build the future behind the scenes.
This internship focuses on improving member experiences, business processes, reporting, and organizational operations as ASCA launches its new systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze member data and business trends
- Assist with testing new systems before launch
- Document workflows and business processes
- Help organize projects across multiple departments
- Create reports and dashboards
- Support membership initiatives and operational improvements
- Participate in planning meetings for the New Era rollout
Ideal Candidate
- Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field
- Strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and data
- Problem-solving mindset
- Interest in technology and process improvement
Education & Learning Experience Intern
Help shape how coaches learn.
ASCA is launching a completely new educational experience. You'll help organize, improve, and support learning content used by coaches around the world.
- Responsibilities
- Review educational content for quality and consistency
- Help organize digital learning resources
- Support webinar and virtual event production
- Test learning experiences before launch
- Assist with certification materials
- Gather learner feedback and suggest improvements
Ideal Candidate
- Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Sport Management, or related field
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written communication
- Interest in online learning and instructional design
Passion for education and professional development

Requirements
Internship Details
Location: Remote
Schedule: Flexible to accommodate class schedules
Hours: Flexible -10–20 hours per week preferred, or on a project basis.
Compensation: Unpaid, but will sign off on credits, volunteer hours, etc.
