The Psychotherapist plays a key role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to individuals enrolled in both Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and traditional outpatient programs. This master’s-level clinician provides individual and group therapy, conducts comprehensive intake assessments, and ensures timely documentation to support continuity of care.
This fully remote position (California based) is ideal for an experienced, compassionate clinician with a strong foundation in protocol-driven, evidence-based therapy and a passion for helping patients manage acute mental health conditions in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual and group therapy to patients in IOP and outpatient settings using evidence-based approaches (CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.).
Conduct comprehensive intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments to determine appropriate levels of care.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
Participate in regular supervision, consultation, and team meetings.
Follow structured therapy protocols and programmatic models of care to ensure consistency and clinical excellence.
Respond appropriately to clinical crises and adhere to established risk-management procedures.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
Current independent or associate clinical licensure in California (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCC).
Previous experience in IOP, PHP, hospital, or medical center settings preferred.
Strong working knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mood, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders.
Proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote clinical work.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with acute psychiatric presentations, crisis intervention, and safety planning.
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
